When we first started researching dog treats, we were shocked to find out how many contained lots of additives and chemicals. So, we set about making our range all natural, preservative free and from the highest quality ingredients.
Our healthy dehydrated treats are all single product ingredients, produced using Australian locally sourced meats. We’re happy to say that Darren and Phillip both enjoy and approve of these healthy and delicious treats (although they may not admit it!), and we know your dog will too.
What are dehydrated treats?
Dehydrated treats are cooked on a low temperature for long periods of time. By doing this the maximum amount of nutrients can be retained. There is also minimum moisture which gives the treats a longer shelf life.
Our dehydrated treats are available in three great flavours – kangaroo jerky, chicken jerky and lamb liver.
Is chicken a low fat dog treat?
Our dehydrated chicken treats are made from chicken breast, which is an excellent source of low-fat, high-quality protein. Chicken is a “complete” protein, meaning it contains all ten of the essential amino acid’s dogs require for good health. Chicken is also a great source of Vitamin B3, which is vital for energy production. Poultry is also the best dietary source of VitaminB6, which helps support the immune system and brain. Chicken is naturally low in sodium, while offering high levels of the mineral selenium. Selenium is also important for the health of the immune system.
Is kangaroo safe for dogs to eat?
Kangaroo is one of the leanest meats available, containing only 2% fat – with much of that being the healthier unsaturated fat. Kangaroo is also an excellent source of iron, which is important for transporting oxygen around the body, as well as zinc, which is essential for growth, wound healing and immune heath. Unusually, kangaroo meat also contains Omega 3 fatty acids, which are usually associated with oily fish. Omega 3 has powerful anti-inflammatory potential and is essential for good health. It is quite commonly deficient in the modern canine diet.
What benefits does lamb have for dogs?
Lamb is one of the most digestible meats for dogs and can be good for dogs with sensitive stomachs. Because it is easy to digest it can be good for dogs with allergies to other meats such as chicken. Lamb liver is rich in Vitamin A which keeps dog’s eyes healthy. Our dehydrated lamb liver treats are easily broken into small pieces, making a highly valuable training treat for your dog.
All our dehydrated treats are a great alternative to doggie junk food and are suitable for dogs with various allergies and dietary requirements. These single ingredient treats are packed full of essential vitamins and minerals, while being low in fat.
